A connected clearing and earthwork project

Jennings Land Management completed this 13-acre project for John Paul Catholic School in Bluffton, South Carolina, approximately a year before this story was published. The work brought together land clearing, pond excavation, and preparation of a football field and the surrounding area.

Clearing the site and digging the ponds

We cleared the project area and excavated the ponds. The dirt removed during pond excavation was then used on the same project to raise the football field area.

Raising and grading the football field

Using the excavated dirt, we raised and graded the field, then graded the area around it. This linked the pond excavation and field preparation as parts of the same site-work plan.

Finishing with topsoil

After the earthwork and grading, we placed topsoil over the prepared ground as the final part of our scope. Our work covered the ground preparation described here, from clearing through the topsoil layer.
