1. Property location and work area

Send the address or a map pin, the city and state, and your approximate clearing acreage. If you can, mark the proposed work area on a map or survey. A parcel’s total acreage may be different from the area you want cleared.

2. Your goal for the property

Tell us whether the project is for a home, mobile homes, a driveway, a yard, trails, a commercial site, or another use. Mention excavation, grading, or a pond if those tasks are part of your plans. The intended finish helps us define the right scope.

3. Photos and a short walkthrough video

Include wide views of the work area and closer views of representative vegetation. Show the entrance, gates, access route, and any obstacles you know about. Photos help with the initial conversation, but cannot reveal every condition or replace a site visit when one is needed.

4. Trees, stumps, and material handling

  • Which trees or areas should stay?
  • Do you want forestry mulching or complete clearing?
  • Is stump and root removal needed?
  • Should removed material stay on site or be hauled away?
  • Is grading part of the job, or clearing only?

5. Access, plans, and timing

Tell us about access restrictions, known wet areas, and existing features that affect the work. Share available surveys, site plans, or grading drawings. Mention your preferred schedule and whether other contractors are waiting on this phase.

Hi Jennings Land Management, I’d like an estimate for [clearing/mulching/other work] at [address or map pin] in [city, state]. The work area is approximately [acreage]. I’ve attached photos and any available plans.

What happens next?

We review the information, discuss the work, and determine whether a site visit or additional details are needed. An accurate estimate should define the area, tasks, material handling, and finish so you know what is included.
