Land Clearing in South Carolina & Coastal Georgia

Open your property for a homesite, access road, pasture, or the next stage of development.

Clearing built around how you will use the land

Jennings Land Management clears trees, brush, and overgrowth for property owners across the Lowcountry and coastal Georgia. A building footprint, driveway, pasture, and selectively opened woodland each need a different finish. We define the work area, retained trees, equipment access, and debris plan before choosing the clearing approach.

Tree removal, stumping, and root raking

A clearing scope can include tree removal, stump removal, root raking, debris handling, and rough grading. These are separate steps: removing standing vegetation does not automatically leave ground ready for a pad or foundation. Tell us whether you need an open surface, roots removed from a construction area, or a site prepared for additional earthwork.

How a clearing project comes together

We review the property location, approximate acreage, photos, access, and intended use. During site review, we discuss boundaries, trees to protect, existing utilities and structures, and where material can be handled. Your estimate should identify the clearing limits, debris disposition, stumping areas, and expected finish so the scope is clear before work starts.

What affects land clearing cost

Tree size and density, terrain, wet ground, access width, stump removal, hauling distance, and the required finish all affect the estimate. Two properties of the same acreage can require very different amounts of work. Include photos and your end goal when asking for a quote so we can discuss the appropriate equipment and scope.

Questions property owners ask

Is forestry mulching the same as complete clearing?

Mulching reduces suitable vegetation to material left on the ground. Complete clearing can also involve removing trees, stumps, and roots. The right choice depends on whether you want brush control or ground prepared for construction.

Can selected trees stay?

Yes, selective clearing can be discussed. Identify trees and areas you want retained before work begins, along with any access or protection concerns.

Will the site be ready for a house afterward?

Clearing is one phase. A homesite may also need excavation, suitable fill, grading, compaction, and a pad built to the project requirements. Those items should be included in a separate defined scope.
